"We built Texkit because existing tools forced us to choose between speed and structure." — Elena Vance, Founder & CEO
Our Mission

To empower developers to treat text as code.

We believe that documentation, documentation sites, and structured content are first-class software artifacts. They deserve the same rigor, testing, and automation as application logic.

The Journey

From garage to global platform.

2019

Founded in Austin, TX.

Elena Vance and Alex Chen started coding on a shared laptop to solve their own documentation pain points.

2020

Open Source Launch.

Released the core engine under MIT license. Community adoption grew rapidly within the engineering community.

2022

Series A Funding.

Secured $12M in funding to expand the engineering team and launch the Cloud platform.

2024

Global Expansion.

Opened offices in London and Singapore; adopted as the standard for two Fortune 500 tech stacks.

The Team

Building the future of text.

Core Values

How we build.

Precision

Every variable is typed. Every schema is validated. We don't guess; we verify. This is the foundation of trust in your documentation.

Openness

Our core is MIT-licensed. Our APIs are documented. We believe transparency is the best way to build a sustainable ecosystem.

Craft

We obsess over the details—the typefaces, the CLI UX, the error messages. We treat our tool as a product, not a utility.

Velocity

We value speed, but we value the right kind of speed. Fast enough to ship, but consistent enough to scale.
